With this program a team of translators and correctors working together on a project at different locations can manage a terminology file of up to 6 languages - one source and six target languages to be chosen freely - that is updated regularly via E-mail.

The program is also suitable for managing less than six languages, e.g. for a single translator. None of the fields and functions is compulsory.

TeamTermBase - how does it work?

1. The central administrator distributes an (empty or filled) file via E-mail among his/her translators.
   
   
2. The local translators "do their homework" and subsequently e-mail anytime they wish their modifications and/or additions via an automatic procedure to the administrator. TeamTermBase checks the creation or modification date per record and extracts and sends only those records to the administrator.
   
   
3. The administrator checks and incorporates these changes and additions and mails the file again to all translators.

By means of a password hierarchy the administrator has read and write privileges in all languages; the individual translators have read privileges in all languages but write privileges in their own language only. All users have search privileges, including demo users. The demo version is read-only but sorting and most export options are accessible, too.

Demo

You can download the demo version TTBDEMO.ZIP (1,7 MB, 4 MB after unzipping), with a few demo records. Maybe you will need to keep the left shift-key pressed when clicking on this link. Copy the files into a new directory and double click on TTBASE.EXE. When asked for a password press the [Enter] key. That will allow you to have a look at the complete program but editing is disabled. Sorting and searching will function normally.

TeamTermBase will function without any additional software under Windows 95, 98 and NT 4.0.

In case you are using Windows 3. and have not yet installed Win32s v1.30c (freeware for the required 32 bit access) we will e-mail you the necessary files (2.9 MB) or you can get them somewhere from the Internet.

If you are using Windows 3.x or Windows NT 3.51 you must download the following files (maybe you will need to keep the left shift-key pressed):

• 4Winsys.zip (25 K)
  The 2 files in this ZIP file must be placed into a folder called "4winsys", to be made within the folder you had chosen for the TeamTermBase directory.
• System.zip (276 K)
  The 17 files in this ZIP file must be placed into a folder called "system", also to be made within the folder you had chosen for the TeamTermBase directory.

Individual translators (not working in a team) need the administrator version.
