Using Word tables on FileMaker Pro layouts By pure chance I found a nice feature in FMP. If you want to preserve the layout of a table in Word to be used on a FMP layout, simply copy the table and paste it onto the layout. If you want then to edit the table, double-click it. Within a closed and specially coloured frame, which can be changed in size, this really Word-looking table reappears with the original grey and black table lines AND with the Word menu bars just below the FMP menu items bar. As soon as you click outside the frame the Word menu bar disappears and everything looks plain again. This works even when Word is not running. It needs to be present on the machine though I guess. I suppose this feature can be useful in certain situations. I'm talking FMP 4 here - I haven't tested this feature on higher versions yet. Good luck!
